My USB doesn't show up

When i plug my usb device it makes the sound and it blinks slowly and says Device Driver was not successfully installed.It doesnt show up in My computer,it doesnt show in cmd in list disk and list volume,it only shows in Devices and Printers as an unspecified device and in my usb ports in device manager.I tred uninstalling and installing the drivers via windows,enabling and disabling,hardware and devices troubleshooting it reinstalled the drivers but it didnt work.Please help me if you can.

yes it is storage device,Silicon Power,i forgot to meintion i tried USB Flash Drive Recovery For Repairing from silicon power page but it didnt work aswell

Does it show in the Device Manager of your computer?
Windows is obviously detecting it being inputted - else it wouldn't show up in your devices and printers. Does it work on any other PC? Or Mac or Linux (if these are to hand!)?
If it does, then I think your version of Windows has itself in a mix-up with the driver it has installed.

Hi there Dule K,

You can go to your MOBO's website and update your USB drivers.
After that, you can go to Device Manager-> Uninstall the device -> reboot system -> plug it back in.

It will not hurt to attach the drive to another system. Using a different USB cable is always a good idea.

The problem is with usb,not my computer all my other usb are working just fine but this doesnt,yes it does show in device manager in usb ports, i tried uninstalling and installing but it doesnt work,tried on win7 and xp but i dont have other system to try on,also i uninstalled the usb and tried to boot my computer with the usb inserted but it just stops at lenovo screen and it doesnt start to boot up until i unplug the usb.I had it working 2 days ago i put some songs on it and now it doesnt work.It is Silicon Power 8gb flash drive
