I have Biostar A78MD motherboard, it has 6.2 sign on itself but there are only 6.0 and 6.4 versions on the site and my motherboard is similar to render 6.0. My CPU is AMD Athlon X4 740, GPU is NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 with 1024 MBytes of GDDR3 Memory. Yesterday I purchased two identical memory modules Kingston/Hynix HyperX HX318C10F/8 and istalled them. Now main UEFI screen shows me Total Memory - 8192 MB (DDR3 1866) but if I go to a Perf. tab and then BIOSTAR Memory Insight I can see both modules info with no problems.

When Windows is loaded (tried on Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 10 Home, x64 for sure) it show that 16GB installed, 7.92GB available. CPU-Z shows that memory working in Single channel and recognizes both modules.

My UEFI/BIOS updated to latest (for now) - A78DO324.BSS 2015-03-24. Resetting settings made no luck. Please, help.

Solution
1) Try clear the CMOS. And go into the BIOS memory section to see there is the memory remapping feature, I can't find the manual from the download section. If it has try it.
2) If it does not have, then go in msconfig, set the maximum memory, saving and reboot the PC. Also it is strange the ram runs at single channel mode, maybe one of them has problem. Or maybe you need update the BIOS for the cpu.

After cleaning motherboard and other components from dust (some were also in previously unused RAM slot), resetting CMOS via putting battery out and then back in and swapping RAM modules 1->2 and 2->1 it finally works! All 16GB are visible on the main UEFI page and in Windows. Also, there is no reserved memory now (there were 7.92GB available when only one module were usable).

There is no options like "memory remapping" in this UEFI.
