My pc shuts down whenever i play a heavy game.

my pc always shuts down whenever i play a heavey games like CS GO, Diablo 3, Guild Wars. but not when i play a game like Hearthstone.

i upgraded my graphics card to GeForce GTX 960 and i bought 16 GB rams instead of 4 GB but the problem is still there.

here are some info
OS: Windows 8.1
CPU: Inter(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80 GHz 2.79 GHz

tell me if you need any more info you need.

Have you checked your temps to make sure nothing is overheating? This is the best place to start, is it dusty in your case you may want to clean it. After that, you should make sure that all of your drivers are up to date, seem strange as CS:GO is not a very demanding game at all. So it could even be something such as a faulty PSU.

Probable causes:
1. Insufficient PSU strength.
2. Insufficient RAM
3. Insufficient GPU strength
4. Overheating of a certain part
5. Insufficient cooling
6. Bad PSU caps
7. Many more probable causes

It'd be much more helpful if you posted all your system specs in detail.
PSU:
GPU:
CPU:
RAM:
Fans and cooling systems in your case:
etc. . . Details on specs, clock speeds, heat temps.

I personally think your bottle necking your CPU, have faulty or insufficient PSU, or have bad cooling and heat dispersion in your case.

Try Cleaning your PSU and release any tangled PSU wires....
Stress test your GPU...*(furmark)... check or replace your montior cables....
Clean up any dust on your pc and check the temps also... reinstall your gfx drivers!!
