I have a rig that was built about 4 years ago. I now of course am playing Fallout 4 at around 35-45fps with irritating dips into the teens at medium/low settings.
I have HD6870s in Crossfire which have performed well over the years but I am now considering dropping $250 max on a card. I was considering the R9 380 and hoping it would get me into a constant +45fps range at high settings.
My rig:
I7 2600
16GB RAM
1000w PSU
Hd6870 Crossfire
SSD
Does this goal seem doable? I just dont want to buy a new card and have the gains not be worth the money I put into it. I have been out of Pc building since I built this rig and was shocked to see cards with 8gb of vram now.
Any input on the matter?
Thanks a lot.
