Hi, Im looking to build a gaming PC at the end of the year with a budget of between £600-£700. I need a lot of advice on the build since this is my first time doing so. Im hoping for something that can hit 60fps on 1080p for the majority of current gen games. The main problem is, the space I have available to put this thing in is only 36x38x28cm so the case size will have to be awkwardly small. Will I be able to fit everything I need to in this, and what will I be looking for if I can? Thanks.

Easy.

Case is 276mm x 286mm x 316mm

Here are some builds using that case.

Look for refurbished or open box parts.

Will not run as cool and a much tougher build.

Sorry, my measurements were WxDxH, I should have made it clear. The OS can be discounted as I already have a copy of windows 10, so if a slightly lower case can be found Im happy to go with the first build providing it has the performance.

I've been looking at processors, and id like a 6th skylake cpu if I could. I know this means changing the mother board and stuff to accommodate it, but if its possible and I can keep it around £700 id like to try. My main issue is the 6600 vs the 6600k because its a lot more money and it doesnt even come with a stock cooler. What do you think?

That will be a challenge. Budget H170 boards have yet to be released.

The 6600 is not worth the difference over the 6500

Wow, that reply was so fast xD The more I do research the more im unsure about the 4690K vs 6th gen. Is it really worth it or is the 4690K fine?

One more thing, I already have a 500gb hard drive and am thinking of buying an SSD to run the OS off. Is this a good idea?

SSD for OS, Applications and working files is a great idea; almost mandatory for and medium budget system or higher. I consider 240Gb + to be the smallest SSD worth using. smaller SSDs are slower, and this is the smallest SSD with enough room for OS, a couple of modern games, and spares space for efficicent Garbage Collection.
