I have a Z97-A motherboard (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K2MAU5Q/?tag=pcpapi-20) and I bought corsair vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3 2400MHz (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EUPV2RQ/?tag=pcpapi-20). Here is the rest of my build:

I enabled my XMP setting and went into my bios, it automatically set my DRAM to 2400MHz (confirmed with CPU-Z showing 1198 per card), set the timing correctly 11-13-13-31, CAS latency correctly to 11, and voltage correctly to 1.65V. Everything seems to be great but I just built this computer 1 week ago and want to protect it. Is this a safe setting for my computer and build (my CPU is NOT overclocked)? Can I damage any parts of my system by running the RAM like this, most importantly I don't want to hurt my expensive CPU.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge and appreciate anyone helping me out! Thanks for being an excellent community!

Solution
You're perfectly fine.

Your motherboard certainly supports 2400MHz, the RAM is meant to run at that speed, and the CAS setting is correct. Everything is good.

Great looking build by the way. :)
