First time ever building my very own PC i have hands on experiance taking apart and putting together pc parts but just wanted to ask will these particular parts work well together

You need a z97 board if you plan to oc that processor... If you don't change the processor to a 1241v3 xeon... 100 mhz slower, but a lot cheaper

Then I recommend switching to the xeon I mentioned. Will save a good chunk of change and not really affect performance. Would let you add a small ssd for the OS with the price difference
