PC to TV HDMI connection goes black randomly for two seconds then comes back

So this annoying thing just started happening to me recently!
Just like the title says, my TV will randomly go black, without sound, for just 1-3 seconds. The thing is that it worked fine before and once the HDMI cable broke I bought a new one and this started happening. I also tried a different HDMI cable and it was also still happening.
I have a GTX 970 if it matters.
Any help would be appreciated!

So turns out that it was the cable. I bought a new TV and the problem was still happening. I tried a different cable that someone else was using in the house and the problem is not happening anymore. Weird thing is that the faulty cable that was giving me this problem was not doing the same on a different TV. Anyway, problem solved.

I dont know if this helps, but i used to record my screen with an elgato. It went black for around 2 seconds also at times. Try changing the resolution, or if you have a monitor/tv change it there.

The resolution is on recommended 1360 x 768. If I change it I will lose picture quality. I don't think that should be the problem since it worked fine before.
