Hello and thank you for reading my post. My husband and I are casual gamers these days with nice gaming PCs I built this year and last year (I have a little experience building myself) but our 6 year old has been mainly using a basic desktop since 2012. He isn't allowed to play games for entertainment a lot but when he does play some of the games don't run very well on his and then he wants to use one of ours. So I've decided to invest no more than $400 total in upgrading for him with the 4 parts mentioned in the title and re-using his 720p tv as monitor, 1TB 7200rpm HD and 8 gb 1333Mhz ram. I was thinking maybe a micro-atx or mini-itx, case not included in that total. I can figure that out on my own or you're welcome to suggest one as well!

Just to give an idea of his gaming habits, he does occasionally dabble in MMO's that we play (minus the chat window). WoW, SWTOR, WIldstar, he plays various superhero and lego games, Minecraft, almost every Star Wars game that exists, Sims 1-4. So we're looking for something that can handle those games. Finally, he has a habit of opening an astronomical number of tabs in google chrome while looking up toys on Amazon! And, leaving multiple games open at once lol. So maybe a good CPU is almost as important as GPU, I'd definitely prefer it be quad core.

Thanks again as I have been torn between too many options. :)

Note that this board is compatible with his current DDR3 memory.

Solution
I accidentally looked up the specs for a similar but different motherboard. I have made the revision with the proper motherboard. Please respond to me so I know you see this - it was an honest mistake.

The motherboard I originally had only supports DDR4 memory, but this one supports DDR3.
