Greetings to all,

I had Fry's build me a new computer because I am pretty sure my hard drive was about to fail and it was purchased in September of 2011. They left the old hard drive in, and installed a new SSD and 1TB Drive, so as of now I have 3 hard drives.

I had many word documents, pdfs, and excel spreadsheets saved to my desktop and alot of stuff in my old recycle bin. I have tried to figure out how to find this stuff but can't. I know it is there I just don't know how to find it. Any help you guys can offer is appreciated. Both Drives have Windows 10 installed and I have purchased Office 2016 Student for the new HD.

Best,
Jon

On your old drive (whatever drive letter is assigned), assuming that the old drive was not formatted - your desktop is at (drive letter)/users/(your old username)/desktop and recycle bin is at (drive letter) $Recycle.bin. Use file explorer to copy desired folders/files to new drive(s). You will need to uncheck "hide protected operating system files" to see the recycle bin. How to find the uncheck box: view - options - change folder and search options (using Win 8.1, Win 10 should be similar).
