Hello,

I'm about to buy a new computer and say goodbye to my 7 years old computer (core 2 due e8400, 4gb RAM, geforce 9600gt) . I barely play games, though I want to be able to play games from last years/new games (Batman, Assassin's creed,NBA 2K, RPG/Strategy games) , not necessarily on the highest level of graphics, and run heavy Matlab calculations and Java code.

I'd probably go for a i5 4690 processor (or similar) . GPU in the range - gtx750ti - gtx 960 / r9 270 - r9 380 ( probably gtx 950 or r9 380). SSD is important, so I'd probably add a 120GB SSD drive. Memory - most probably 16 GB DDR3 1600MHz.

I'm not sure regarding the motherboard. I'm interested in a good MOBO that doesn't cost too much. Which MOBOs will be compatible and with a good value for the money ? does integrated graphics capability is important somehow? (can it improve the performances of the GPU, or it's insignificant ?)

Thanks !

In your suggestions I Loved The MSI H97M and has 2 More RAM Slots than Gigabyte
And Yes GTX 950 Is a Perfect considering It Launched In 2015 and has a lot of positive reviews...

Hello :D
You are starting off Good.i5 4690 is a PERFECT Processor to start with :D.Now,Starting with GPU,I'd Go for a GTX 960 EVGA FTW Edition 4GBDDR5.The GTX 960 Beats 750Ti,R9 270,R9 380 And GTX 950 In all Cases*(Source:GPUBoss.com).The SSD Is simple,The Cheapest SSD You can Get on the market Is Team Elite L5 SSDs AND Patriot SSDs.Ranging From Neutron Force and kingston to High end Samsung 850 PRO EVO And Intel 750 Series,SO IT DEPENDS ON YOUR BUDGET.Now Coming To the motherboard, there are a LARGE amount of LGA 1150 Motherboards in the market right now,So a Precise budget is required
Cheers :D

Yeah, GTX 960 is probably better than the others but also costs more than the others, I don't need a beast GPU, just a good card that isn't too expensive. I haven't decided yet, though gtx 950 (2GB GDDR5) looks like a good option.

Regarding MOBO - I need a good and relatively cheap one, how about Gigabyte GA-H97M-HD3, or MSI H97M-E35 ?
