Hi, I have MSI Z87-MPOWER mobo. There are 3 slots for PCI-E x16 gen. 3.0. It can handle multiple cards in 16/0/0, 8/8/0 and 8/4/4 gen 3.0.
But..
What if I connect to the first slot graphic card x16 gen. 3.0
To the second slot card x8 BUT gen. 2.0.
And third slot card x4 gen 2.0.
Speed (or bandwidth) of gen 3.0 is 2x faster than gen 2.0.
Will it be classically 8/4/4??
Or the mobo is so smart and do it like: x8 gen 3.0/x8 gen 2.0/x4 gen 2.0
