Msi afterburner/Evga precision and overclocking

i got a 750TI gigabyte with a 6 pin power lead
now my question is i cant overclock it with either evga precision or msi afterburner everytime i try to turn the clock rate and press apply the clock rate never changes in memory and core clock

Have you monitored the clocks while the card is actually under load, this will be when you notice the change.

i checked and the clock rate doesnt change
