I want to build a cheap system and want to use the amd fx 6300 and Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P. I am aware these do not have onboard graphics so i was wondering if i could stick a ati x1300 why i save up for a gtx 960?

ya theres no on board graphics so a vid card is needed to display your fine I don't recall if that x 1300 came in a pcie mpdel or just a agp ?

so give its model number to look it up

like if this card it will not work at all its a old AGP blade and not supported on newer boards like yours

then looking it seems all it has over AGP is a plain old pci blade so that seems to be a NO-GO on that x1300

amd shows the last supported driver was for windows vista [still may work under 7 ??] driver 10.2
