How to setup connections and configuaration to get 60 Mbps wifi of a 60 Mbps ethernet connection using Linksys E1200 N300 Router

Solution
To ensure you have 60Mb throughput on WIFI you probably need a dual stream N or AC router (N600, or better). That would provide 300Mb link speed. That is cut in half because WIFI is not full duplex. So you are down to 150Mb throughput. If you don't have more than a couple devices sharing that you should be OK. Your E1200 will meet these requirements. But, if you have a lot of devices, then you need to look at 5Ghz rather than 2.4Ghz for as many devices as possible. Your router won't meet that requirement.

You need a dual stream (dual antenna) WIFI device on your client computer to get the numbers above.
