16gigs or ram installed but only 8 usable.

As stated above I have 16 gigs of ram and only 8 are usable.

I have four 4 gig sticks and in the bios it only recognizes them as 2 gig sticks

specs
AMD FX -8320
16 gigs of ram
64bit windows 10
nvidia 960 graphics card
ASRock 970 extream 3 R2.0 motherboard

It can't be that because windows 32bit is limited to 4GB of address space with usually ends up around 3.5-3.8GB max ram depending on what else is in the system and he is showing 8GB of RAM in widows so it is 64bit for sure..
To the OP: what is the exact model of the RAM?

yes I'm aware of that.......but I was thinking maybe that could have been a possible outcome.......some people have 8gb installed an claim 5.5usable wich would blow the stated 4gb max for 32 bit off straight away.....so I'm thinking in some freakish kinda way the system may have limited his 16 to 8 ???? dunno was jus a suggestion!
