I'm on AM3+ socket and need a new cpu. I cannot watercool because I have no fan mounts available, and I am thinking to upgrade from a 4350 to a 9590. I know I need a cooler and I don't know what I should get because it says watercooling is required. Here is my parts. I know my parts list does not really make sense, so don't bug me on that.

Amd AM3+ 4350
Evga 960 4gb sc
Am3+ socket 970 mobo
16gb of ram (I use several programs over dual monitors at once and need it)
120gb ssd boot drive
1tb WD blue hdd
a bad case decision with no excess fan mounts:pfff:

Solution
9590 won't be cooled by AIR.

You are right about the mobo problem.... I just figured that if it was on the am3+ socket, then it would work correctly (given everything else met the requirements) What about an 8350, that might work, and I would only need like a hyper 212 evo because I don't overclock much.
