FPS Drop due too lack of CPU cooler?

Okay, lemmie start off by saying I just bought a brand new computer. I got it, installed my games and launched up Dota 2 (it happens in all games I've tested as well) too my surprise I was jittering and lagging all over the place, it would run smoothly for a few seconds than drop down to an unplayable frame rate. I opened up my case too see my CPU cooler detached from my motherboard not properly cooling my CPU. So I'm wondering what the most likely cause of my lag is. The lack of cooling? Or some other issue. I56600k 3.5ghz 960 SC 4GB Z107A Gaming pro mother board.

If very high CPU temperature are detected, the CPU is downclocked. It was probably running at 500Mhz.

Im think confused on what youre asking. Obviously if the cooler is detached from the cpu...thats the obvious problem. Arent you going to fix it?

Where did you buy this from?
That is the specific cause of your performance issue. The CPU is getting way to hot, and clocking down.

Thats really bad. Remount your CPU heatsink/fan, or you will be replacing your fried CPU very shortly.
