Near About 6 Months Back I Had Been Using Windows 7.It Contained More Than 150 PDF Documents and Powerpoint Presentations Downloaded From The Web Plus Highly Important Web Searches. It Was Well Over A Year Of Hard Work.

I Gave It To The Local Vendor to Instal XP As Dual Boot But The Idiot Accidentally Deleted The Entire System Replacing It With A Really Useless Copy Of XP.I Had A New Windows 7 Re Installed(Since Then Upgraded to Windows 10).

I Have Since Then Been Besides Myself Desperately Trying To Download and Use Any Good Data Recovery Software I Can Find. The Results Have Been Mixed.EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Has Been Able To Locate All The PDF and PPT Files I Got But They Just Don't Open. And I Still Haven't Been Able To Find The Web Browsers I Was Using Before The Mess Up.

I Am Seriously Contemplating Using High Performance Forensic Softwares,Please Help Me Regain What Was Once Mine?????

Once you realised you'd lost something, you should have not written anything more at all to the drive - no re-installing 7, and certainly no 10.

I expect it's very unlikely you'll be able to recover anything, except maybe if you got someone very skilled to look through it manually. But I doubt it.

I'm lost as to how web searches can be important, though.

They may be stored in your Google account, possibly.

1 drive
With Win 7
It was overwritten with Win XP
Then overwritten with Win 7
Then Upgraded (overwritten) with Win 10.

And you wish to retrieve, in toto, PDF docs from the original Win 7?
That's not gonna happen, no matter how much money you throw at it.

Well With EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard I was Able To Uncover Nearly All Of The PDF and PPT Files Lost (Title and Date Of Course)
So Even If All Else Fails I Can At Least Download A Fresh Copy From The Web Googling Them Although It Is Going To Be A Long and Tedious Task

How About Ghostscript,You Think It Would Help????

How About Forensic Softwares Do You Think They Work Any Better Or Should I Call In Someone????

You might be able to retrieve some data, but you will probably need professional help. There are ways to read up to seven writes on a HDD. That's why a government secure wipe is 7 or more writes. A professional with the right equipment could possibly help you but will cost you a lot, I'm sure.

Do You Know Of Any Really Good Software That Might Do The Trick????Hiring Someone Would Be A Last Resort For Cost and Privacy Reasons. So I Am A Little Averse To This Option.

On This Very Forum I Read About A Guy Who Was Able To Regain Data After Four Full Formats And OS Re Installations. He Mentioned Runtime

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/263585-32-recover-files-install

The Writer Of This Post Mentions Even More Advanced Tools

Do You Have Any Good Tools It Would Be Helpful

(Oh And Sorry I Downrated You Accidentally.Just Joined Last Week So It Is Going To Take A While For Me To Get Used To This)

Hi, when operating system reinstall then some files got overwritten by other files. For example if a disk has 120 GB data with 20 GB overwritten data then 100 GB data is recoverable after reinstalling system.

You could download an app like recuva and there are others too. Might get some files back. If something has been over written and not just "marked" as free space, you will more than likely need a professional that has the equipment to measure the magnetism on the drive to get anything.

The reason why it can still "See" the files is because it is still picking up the MFT from the orginal windows 7. Just because it can SEE it doesn't mean it can recovery the files because they are stored elsewhere on the drive that is now more than likely been over written more times that any normal software recovery you can buy won't be able to recover. I know. i have 5 different kind of File Recovery tools my work uses and sometimes even after someone screwed up, deleted files, and before they realized it they deleted it and i ran every tool I had and it could see it but not recovery anything useful.

Even on one of my own hard drives a lot time ago, went to go make a RAID 1, (first time working with RAID) and it was all It will delete everything. i backed out of everything and it was just a RAW file system. I was unable to recovery any videos that were playable (I at least had a list of all of them) and most of my other stuff as well. Luckly back then is when all my important files like Documents were synced between my Laptop and PC so that wasn't a huge deal.

But if you EVER delete a file or format something the LAST thing you EVER do is either format it, write a files, startup windows, etc. You hold the power button, shut that down, yank out the drink, and plug it into another PC. Even then I always make a bit for bit image of the drive and do recovery of that imaged drive to prevent any kind of damage to the original drive. File recovery can work when used right or you can screw it up even more.

Thank You For your Input,So What Would You Recommend Some High Performance Forensic Recovery Suite or Partition Recovery Tool With.(Some Of The Software and Services I Have Encountered Even Claim They Can Recover Multiple Formatted and Overwritten Data and Files From Years Back.)

Or Should I Just Bang My Head Against The Wall Over What I Have Done

There is no software you can buy to get back from what you have done. A data recovery company would have to take the drive, probably take out the platters, read them one by one, store the data, reconstruct it, and even then who knows.

And even though some of the software may say that once the data is overwritten a few times it is next to impossible to get it back with out spending a lot of $$$

While most of that was really good info, self promotion of your company is frowned upon here.
