i have an amd cpu and i want to upgrade to an intel becuase of my upgrade path being stopped so do i need an intel supported motherboard and intel cpu and everything would work fine meaning gpu, ram and case ports.

Yes you need an intel motherboard and it has to be the same socket used with both the cpu and motherboard. With ram, it will depends on what socket and platform. If you are going with Skylake, then most motherboards will require DDR4. There are a few that can do DDR3.
