Good gpu but bad cpu bad idea?

My CPU is AMD athlon x4 750k and i want to buy a msi r9 390 gpu but would that cause any problems?

Specs

CPU AMD athlon X4 750k
Current gpu amd hd 7750
Ram 8gb
500w psu

The only problem it will cause is a bottleneck. No harm will come to the hardware, but your current CPU will hold back the r9 390 from being able to perform to its fullest potential.

Ex. In a newer game your CPU might be struggling at 100% usage while the r9 390 is only at 30% usage.
