Hi,

I have no boot, no setup with corsair CMV4GX3M2A1333C9 (yes, this module is not in compatibility list http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5E3_DELUXE/P5E3_DELUXE.pdf, but it can't, because it's pretty old, and ram is new).
I've somewhere read about 'single side' ram modules, that is not compatible. What else?
So is it not enough to match ram type/speed/latency? What should I know to choose right?

Until now, I have corsair cm3x1024-1333c9, which is also ddr3, 1333, C9 as new, but not working, corsair ram module.

P.s. old, working:

new, no boot:

Solution
look for a bios update for the motherboard. sometimes they fix ram compatibility

i suspect the voltage is different for the new ram causing your issues.

Hello,

Remove the old ones, install one new ram and check if it works. Do the same with the other new ram. Then check with both the new rams together. If it does not work individually then you may have to return it and try from another source such as the memorystock.com or the crucial.com. They have these rams I suppose.

Yes, old RAM 1.6V, new 1.5V, though new pair don't work alone, without old RAM. Most likely Corsair RAM is made on new technology (controller?), not supported by old motherboard.
Decided to ditch this Corsair and take INTEGRAL 4GB DDR3 1333MHZ DIMM KIT (2X2GB) CL9 R1 UNBUFFERED 1.5V, wich was tested and works OK.
