Hello Guys,

I facing a issue from last 15 day's regarding my Asus motherboard which is Asus Maximus hero VIII.

Recently i build my new Skylake gaming rig. Everything worked fine except my sound from speakers which when plugged to the rear green audio jack of my motherboard the woofer doesn't work.( First for 2-3 days it worked fine then it started with this issue of woofer not working)

When I plug it in to the front audio jack it works fine.(I tried connecting my speaker to my mobile too and it worked fine)

I tried everything from reinstalling the audio drivers to formatting the machine. But I failed to detect the problem.

The sound is like without bass effect.
Please help me out of this and as this motherboard is new in market (Asus Maximus Hero VIII) there is no forums related to this. Please I'm almost done with everything.

I'm totally clueless where is the actual problem. But I'm sure with speakers as they are working fine with other devices.

I have tried everything in control panel too. Even played with Supreme FX (Sound panel of ROG) control panel of Asus Maximus Hero VIII.

Have you tried changing your speaker setup in the realtek audio manager? Try testing your speakers from there and see if the test picks up your sub. Other than that, I don't know. It could be a faulty board. I have the same one and have had no issues "yet".

tons of us whom bought this mobo have this issue along with other on-board stuff failing at random, driver updates aren't helping either. I personally wouldn't choose ASUS in future, at least not for picking up motherboards.
