Should my Corsair H75 pump be plugged into the CPU_FAN header or the SYSFAN?

I have an MSI B85I motherboard and I just installed a water cooler. My temps are really good but I am wondering if I did it right. I plugged the 3 pin pump cable into the CPU_FAN header, is this okay? Do I need to go into the BIOS and set CPU_FAN or some other software to run at 100%? Thanks.

for max performance pump should be directly connected to 12v psu , through adaper and radiator fan to CPU_FAN. however you can still connect pump to cpu_fan as long as you have monitoring software to ensure 100% pump rotation. i used to have my h60 pump connected to CPU_FAN header , using asus thermal radar to keep it 100%

Cpu fan is mainly to utilize the pwm function for your cpu, this can be done by buying a 4 pin y splitter for your cpu fan slot, but this is useful if you only have a radiator 2ith 2 fans, so you can plug both in to that, the sys fan should be your rear exauhst fan or a front intake your choice, while some mobo have a pin connection for a water pump. I would actually go online and buy a DC 12v mole fan adapter and use this on your water pump, you want direct and constant power to it because if the water stops moving, your cpu dies. You can also use adapters on the mobo sys fan, y splitters so you can install a few more fans if you don't want to hook them directly to the psu. This will also give you the advantage of usage of the yellow (7v tachometer sensor) which sends 2 pulses per rpm of fan rotation which let's us know if it's spinning and at exactly what rpm! Crazy stuff fans are

if it was at 12v will that make it die faster than if u put it into cpu fan header?

Yes it will die faster, and you don't utilize your water cooler. It's always running at max if you plug directly into the psu. This makes your pwm function useless, pwm is there to reserve power and pump/fan life. You would not keep the ac on in a room that's already freezing. That's just wasteful
