You need around £100 for a good headset, as thor220 just get a Mic,
and buy a budget 2.1 set of speakers.

There are multiple things you need to consider first. One, what do you need the microphone to plug into. USB or 3.5 headphone port? What kind of microphone do you want? You can do a boom mic like what they have on gaming headsets or you can do one like the Blue snowball that sits far away for you.

I wouldn't really recommend that mic to someone who is gaming. You have to be relatively close to it for your voice to register. At the same price you have the Blue Snowball that can pick up voices from far away and has hardware noise reduction.
