Hello,
I played the whole of Witcher 3 without a single crash on my old gpu (Radeon 7850) and now I have upgraded to a gpu (GTX 970) to play the new dlc.
The game is now crashing every 5-30 mins either straight to desktop or coming up with the "program not responding" window.
I have tried several different drivers (including the new beta ones), pretty much turned off and on every option in the menu, turned of the Geforce experience and other nvidia start up settings.

Any ideas what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance,
Jonathan

looks to me like you have a bit of video driver clutter.
Did you un install your Ati graphics card driver for the 7850 card you had in the system before you fitted the Nvidia GTX 970 card?

Did you also do a clean of the registry to make sure no trace of any old video drivers were left?

You may want to try this step first.
Download and install this program on your system, and remove any reference to any Ati graphics driver files that may be left in the windows registry.

See if it stops the crashing of the Nvidia graphics driver, and it not responding in windows.

You should also double check what the power supply requirements are when running a GTX 970 card in your system.
and double check that the current power supply you have in your system is up to the task of providing enough power to the GTX card when at full gaming load/ power consumption.

I have done all the decluttering with the registry and it appears to have worked...hopefully (you never can tell until you give it a week or so). I
