Today I bought these:
Motherboard: https://www.alternate.nl/MSI/H170A-GAMING-PRO-socket-1151-moederbord/html/product/1221857?tk=7&lk=17219
Memory: https://www.alternate.nl/Corsair/16-GB-DDR4-2400-Kit-Werkgeheugen/html/product/1180450?tk=7&lk=13789
So I activated the XMP profile in UEFI/BIOS expecting the memory jump up to 2400mhz as advertised. But later i found out that my motherboard only supports 2133mhz.
My question is, did i buy this memory for nothing? I could've bought a 2133mhz memory, right? And should i keep the XMP profile activated or should i disable it? What does it even do if my motherboard only supports 2133 mhz... I'm confused.
