My full rig in my signature :)

Heres the story, my computer started crashing and restarting randomly 1-2 months back.

During gameplay, it would just cut, and turn itself on again without BSOD, nothing.
I assumed it was driver issue with my GPU so i fresh installed the graphic drivers.

Still the same after awhile, it went away for some reason despite the same usage before returning a month later.

From there i reinstalled windows, fresh from the oven reformat.
Installed latest drivers.

Event viewer shows after it kept happening again: Critical Kernel-Power, Event ID 41, Task 63

I realised my CPU was then plugged into a multi-plug for some reason, whcih led me to believe that maybe the plug was faulty and not giving enough power which causes the shortage.

I did however set my PC to not restart after failure, both in BIOS and PC settings.

After plugging my PC to the wall directly, it doesnt happen randomly as it did (at desktop, internet browser) but the second i attempt to run a GPU intensive game or even furmark/valley benchmark. The PC resets again.

I've removed the GPU entirely now and its running on integrated graphics.

Do i need a new PSU? or a new GPU?

Please feel free to ask me to clarify things if it seems confusing, i am rather lost myself!

Let me know, i sure hope its the PSU, a new GPU will cost more than twice the amount hahaha.

edit:
thing to note, despite my setting the computer to NOT restart upon failure in both BIOS and PC settings, it still always cuts, and restarts by itself.

I am unable to find information on what this means?

OK, so my new PSU came today, all installed. Previously while Playing Fallout 4 it would crash shorty after launch, I have now played it with no issues or problemas at all, it looks like the PSU has fixed it for me.

What could cause it to be so low?

I'm green on this, but should the 12v+ remain at a constant value? (despite whatever)
If im not mistaken, the screenshot of those figures i attached was taken when i removed my GPU

And if the value is too low, does it mean its not giving the full wattage? or it cant even be used with a unit that requires less power?

Thats awesome man, glad to hear you fixed your issue, still worried it could be something else.
Did you do any checks such as swapping out other components to see if its the PSU for sure? Wouldnt want to get a 750w PSU without confirmation.

cheers for the update!

Seasonic has a distributor in Singapore and i would have to go through them regarding any RMA.

They did state we needed to register our products within 14 days but who wouldve known? heh.
dropped them an email regarding my issue and am awaiting their reply.

update: called them directly they can do an RMA. but will need time to verify its the PSU failing.
will take a look at the BIOS for a more accurate reading, the one in the screenshot is from Speccy.

UPDATE 2: went home to check the values in BIOS

A lot of the time, monitoring software will not be completely accurate when giving your voltages. For instance, HW Monitor always says my +12V is between 13V and 14V and my computer has never had issues. You can try sending your PSU to Seasonic anyway, just in case it is the problem. The worst they can do is send it back if it turns out to be fine, right?

True, just that the distributor that is based in Singapore, opens till 6:15, i end work at 6:15, its a 50minute travel distance from my office.

Heh.

Update: AIDA64 is showing similar values to MSI CC and my MOBO reading

Conclusion:

Went to RMA my PSU, they informed it the PSU was failing and they couldnt figure out why besides that its definitely a hardware issue internally.

Went home to plug everything back before heading to work and will see how it plays out.
