Hello!

Let's just jump right on into it!
So i'm using a pretty outdated machine as of right now and i am wanting to improve on it without shelling out more then 500 euros.

Currently this is my setup:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
GPU: R7200 series 2gb gpu (not sure which one think it's the r7260.
RAM: 1x 4gb of generic ddr3
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV(R2.0)
POWER SUP: Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80+ Bronze Certified

So the thing is, i want to maintain as much of this build but still have an great gaming experiance.
So i went on the internet and slapped this build together:

This to me seemed to be the best way to get the most preformance out of my 500 euros
As you can see the only thing i really changed was the GPU and the RAM would this do the trick?

Hello, thanks for answering! :)

I was thinking about anything else i might be able to do a bit better if i were to spend some more, what would you suggest?

Well I'm not sure there is a point of going for 16GB of ram. 8gb would be enough for the next 2 years and by the time it no longer is enough you will have to get a new CPU any ways so it would be better if just go for 4gb additionally and be done with it, no point in spending more on something which is a bit redundant. And you might consider windows 8.1 for the same price instead of 7 home edition.

16gb is actually the suggest amount of RAM for the new starwars game and the games coming out within the next yeart will most likely need 16GB anyway so there is no harm in having it. also why not just go for windows 10? its a very good OS and actually increases in game performance of most computers.

it is a bit better than the 970 but the 980's are not worth getting anymore as the 980ti's are so close in price, if you want to get a higher up card get the 980ti its pretty much the best card on the market way overkill for 1080p but for future proofing it maybe worth it, can't be sure till new games come out really.
