My computer is set to one of the standard Windows 7 power option settings and goes to sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity. However, it ALWAYS wakes up five minutes later, even without movement of the mouse, etc. I did a little research and tried this at the command prompt:
powercfg -lastwake
and it displayed this:
Wake History Count - 1
Wake History [0]
Wake Source Count - 1
Wake Source [0]
Type: Wake Timer
Owner: [SERVICE} \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows]System32]svchost.exe <wuauserv>
...which, I assume, is indicating the device that is waking up the computer. Is there a way to keep this from happening? I'd like the computer to stay asleep until a mouse or keyboard action. Thanks.
