Hey Guys bit of help needed,

  • Windows 7 - 64
    Optiplex GX620
    Updated all drivers & BIOS.

  • The RAM's are exactly the same - make, model, size. - I bought them from the same place at the same time.
They are 4 2GB's - and all four work I have tested each one individually and the PC starts up fine running it iin 2 GB or 4 . Problem start when I hit 6GB or 8 GB

When I start my PC I get 2 beeps. I hit F2 when it comes up and it takes me to my Settings which says that all 4 slots are installed and I have 8GB RAM. However when I leave the setup and go into actually starting the PC. It gets stuck at the Starting Windows bit.

I appreciate the help.

Solution
The system may read it but the limitation is in the design and that limitation is the chipset:

http://ark.intel.com/products/27720

The motherboard in that system is the 945G Express which even per Intel can only support up to 4GB of system RAM.

It can probably see the RAM but it wont be able to read or write to it properly since the chipset was not designed to do so
