Hello good people!
I am trying to upgrade the processor of my Toshiba Satellite C660, I currently have the AMD e-450 apu 1,65GHZ integrated with Raedon graphics , is it possible that i upgrade the processor to INTEL CORE T9400 2.53GHz Dual-Core SLGE5 AW80576T9400 42W828. Thanks alot :/ :??:

Solution
First off, the CPU is soldered to the motherboard, so it can't be changed out. Secondly, Intel and AMD use completely different sockets, so even with the CPU was removable, the Intel chip still wouldn't fit.

Toshiba has a habit of having different variations of the same model of laptop, some with AMD processors, and some with Intel, but they're both called that model number, in your case the Sattelite C660. The guy with the blog had a C660 with an Intel processor on it, or at the very least bought an Intel based motherboard for that laptop model and did a full motherboard replacement in addition to the CPU.

Hey Vrumor, thanks for the reply firstly, but can you explain why not? I believe you ,but I was reading a blog from a guy who upgraded his Satellite with the T9400 and he said it worked perfectly, I'm not an expert in this area but I'm confused now :/

That sounds acceptable, thank alot, but can you tell me wich processor can fit in my toshiba? I mean can i possibly upgrade the proccessor or thats not on the horizon?

Your CPU is soldered to the motherboard so it can't be changed without replacing the motherboard as well. Unless you feel like tracking down the Intel motherboard and CPU for the C660 and swapping out the whole motherboard, you're going to have to just buy a new computer if you need more performance than what the E-450 is giving you.
