Best Upgrade From An AMD Radeon 7850 For The Best Money

Hi, I am here today to ask a very important question.

I got myself an AMD Radeon 7850 a year or two ago and it has been great. However, video games are becoming more and more advanced looking, (Examples being Fallout 4, Witcher 3, and Star Wars Battlefront) and I want to hit that peak of beautiful graphics with solid 60fps without hurting my wallet too much. I also want to keep the card AMD for I also have a AMD 8-core 8350.

So TLDR What video card do you suggest as an upgrade from my 7850 that is within the price range of 150 dollars that will give me solid 60 fps on max settings?

Nothing that costs $150 will give you 60fps on max settings.

try looking at a radeon r9 380 they cost about $160 but you get what you pay for

^ That says 180, not $160. The GTX 950 is the best choice for $150, but he doesn't want a Nvidia card.

The 950 isn't a massive upgrade over the 7850 IMO.
Even a 960/380 isn't going to impress that much for the expenditure simply because the 7850 was the bang for buck mid ranger of its day .

Hmmmm okay lets put 60 fps out of the question.. Is there any AMD cards that simply outperforms my 7850 for around 150 dollars?

Looks like R9 285s can be had for $158 now.

Nothing below an R9 280 / R9 285 would be a worthwhile upgrade

Regardless, if it isnt that much of an upgrade from my 7850 I am not interested. I cant afford a card that I am going to just have to upgrade in like a year anyway. I like my video cards to have a lifespan of up to 2-3 years like my 7850 has.

Like the guy above said - minimum gtx 960/r9 285/280/380

They'll get you the same fps on high as you're currently getting on medium roughly.

Anything less not worth the money simply because the 7850 was such a great card - very similar to the current r7 370 performance wise.

I know I am quite late but you could always x-fire... another 7850 would be quite cheap and good enough upgrade tbh.
