i5 6400 vs i5 4440

Hey i was about get a pc with i5 4440 and gtx 960 but now shop from where i was about buy has launched a new pc which has a i5 6400 and gtx 750 ti and their cost as a whole are almost identical so what should i do
And this pc is for gaming

The 4440 with the GTX960 will outperform the 6400 with 750Ti because of the much stronger GPU!

As Rolli says, the 4440/960, the two CPUs have almost identical benchmarks, the early Skylake chips really don't out perform the Haswells right now they just have better energy efficiency.

Well, that depends on the motherboards and how much CPU "headroom" they have.

Future proof is hard to say, both builds probably have budget boards so will stay as is with possible upgrade in GPU later which they will support equally.

I agree, while it's likely that both boards would have some room to upgrade the CPUs, it's also very likely that the end results on either would end up being pretty much equal. Your biggest difference here is on the GPUs.
