Hi - I hope someone can help.

I purchased a 16GB kit today (16GB DDR3 - 2400 CL11 240 UDIMM Kit) to use with my set up.

I was hoping to take advantage of the 2400Mhz speed of the memory, but within the bios when I set the speed I wish to run the memory at the system does not post or show anything on the screen at all.

I have to reset the CMOS in order to get back into the bios.
System will run fine with the memory defaulted to 1600Mhz.

I have found the spec sheet and tried the recommended speed set manually as mentioned which is 11-13-14 1.65v. However the same thing happens. I'm wondering if I have done something wrong or whether its just not compatible ?- I hope someone can help.

Thank you so much.

Jamie.

Thanks for your help. I tried your suggestion - When I entered the suggested voltage into the CPU voltage box it changed it from a 1.25 to 400 for some reason... I still am getting a blank screen with no option to get into the BIOS without removing the battery and replacing. I can get the system to run at 2133 but it unstable and the OS crashes after a while. Was kinda hoping these would just work when I purchased them - my bad for not researching before hand I guess.

I did a bios update which did not help. RAM was originally in slot A1 and A2 so I put them into A1 and B1 which enabled them to run in a dual configuration. I set the DOCP profile to 2400 and it now boots up into Windows and is running at the correct speed in the BIOS.

Within windows using CPUID I see the following:

Total Size 16384 MB
Type Dual Channel (128 bit) DDR3-SDRAM
Frequency 1205.7 MHz - Ratio 1:12
Timings 11-13-14-32-58 (tCAS-tRC-tRP-tRAS-tCS)
Slot #1 Module Kingston 8192 MB (DDR3-1600) - XMP 1.3
Slot #2 Module Kingston 8192 MB (DDR3-1600) - XMP 1.3

Not sure if this is correct?

Thanks, Jamie.
