Hi! I am a first time pc builder. I have a bunch of pieces that i am going to order at around Christmas, and (im pretty sure, but not entirely sure) that this build is compatible. If somebody could comb through this and tell me if there are any problems or any tweaks that you would make. My ideal goal is to play most games (BF4, Dragon age: Inquisition, etc) at 60+ fps on ultra settings.

I already have a hard drive, optical drive, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

All help is appreciated!

The Nzxt 440 is a great case, the cooling on it is fantastic. Also the filters are dead simple to remove and clean. One thing you will want to pickup however is a Sata power cable extension, something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA24G28N2012&cm_re=sata_power_cable_extension-_-12-400-046-_-Product
The reason is, if you mount your SSD where they show in the pictures it sits almost flush with the bottom. When you plug in the power to it, the sata power cables will push the drive up a few degrees. Its nothing major but it puts an unwanted strain on the drive ports.

Second, depending on the length of your PSU's 8pin motherboard cable you may need an extension. I mention this only because the last build I did...
Ok first, yes all those parts will work together.

Changes I'd suggest, questions for you.
Do you have an OS already? You didn't list it on your build or what parts you already have. Its oddly really common to forget it on a build.

I'd recommend going with a Samsung 850 Evo 120GB. $13 price difference and worth it.

The PSU, do you already have it? Its lists on the build with no price. If not, I'd recommend going with a better brand/model. EVGA G2 series is very nice as is the SeaSonic M12-II series.

Do you need a full tower case? Asking because 1. Going with a mid tower could be cheaper and allow you to increase the performance of the SSD to a higher level or even bigger size. 120GB starts running out pretty fast these days with game sizes.

Hi, thanks for answering.
Yes i will be using windows 8.1 64 bit. ( I already have a copy)
Thanks for the advice, I changed the ssd to the Samsung 850 evo 120 gb ( I think that will be sufficient storage space because I dont plan to put much on it)
I also changed the psu to a EVGA 800 watt (I might be upgrading it later, so having an overkill power supply should be ok)
For the case, i reconsidered the nzxt phantom 930. Now the price wasn't the issue, but the size was a bit large from what i want. So i found this case, the NZXT H440. I have a few questions on this case though :

1. Will all the parts fit in it?
3. Will the fans that this case comes with be enough to cool the system, or will i have to go out and add more 3rd party fans?
4. Do you have any other cases you would recommend?
5. Do you see any conflict between this case and any of the parts?
6. Yes i realize i skipped 2 but im too lazy to go and fix the numbers.

Also i plan to be adding a wireless network adapter, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007GMPZ0A/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B007GMPZ0A&linkCode=as2&tag=nerdtechy-20&linkId=J2FGY3ZUEFQFYK52

Will this fit into the h440 case with all of the other parts, and does my motherboard support wireless internet?

Also I see this case doesnt have a optical drive video player back thing bay. Does this mean i cant use one or do i have to put one somewhere else in the build?

I was also looking at the Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, but how would this compaire to the h440?

Second, depending on the length of your PSU's 8pin motherboard cable you may need an extension. I mention this only because the last build I did with this case, the PSU cable was barely long enough. Something like this if you don't care about color http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200124&cm_re=8pin_PSU_extenstion-_-12-200-124-_-Product, or you can go with something nicer if you do care about color.

As to your questions:
1. All the parts you have listed will fit in it.

2. This case does not have a drive bay for an optical drive. Outside of installing an OS not many people need one in most computers. If you need to have one you can either buy a USB one or you'd need to go to a different case.

3. Don't worry about 3rd party fans unless you want to go with LED lighting or something. They will come preinstalled and connected to the PWM fan hub so just make sure you read up on that in the paperwork you get with the case. Its pretty straight forward.

4. I always have a place in my heart for the CoolerMaster Haf series, but while they have great airflow they also let in a lot of dust and they arent the most elegant design. The Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 has become a favorite of mine. High airflow, great internal design, has an optical bay, but its a cube so some people are put off by that. The Carbide Series 300R has also gotten a lot of love from reviews. The best bet is to just start searching out the manufactures and see what appeals to you and then check reviews online. One thing I will recommend is stay way from full tower steel cases, they're not bad but dealing with a 1/4 ton of steel is a tiring and painful life choice.

5. No conflict I can see with the parts listed. However since it has a window and the case is very obviously meant to look good, you may want to consider getting colored sleeve extensions for the power cables. In no way is this needed, it just makes it look a bit nicer. Nzxt sells their own here but you can buy them online at Newegg (BitFenix makes a line) or other retailers for different colors. https://www.nzxt.com/category/products/19-premium-cables

6. I made a number 2 for you.

Your motherboard just needs a wifi card. Plug it in, install the drivers and you're good to go. The network adapter you picked out is a solid one from all accounts I've seen.

The Phanteks isnt a case I'm familiar with, but reviews seem good. It has a ton of room for cooling but it only includes 2 fans. Unless your going hard mode on heat that really should be fine, but you can always add more fans if you want. It does support a internal optical drive unlike the H440 however, so that is a plus if you need that drive.
