I will be getting an i7-6700k and will want to overclock it a lot, probably near or past 4.5ghz. What watercooler should I get? I will also be playing demanding games with the overclocked cpu. Any ideas? If you have questions, feel free to ask. Thanks.

Skylake doesn't oc that well. Good luck getting 4.5. And if your serious about ocing ocing full water cooling is the way to go. Most closed loop coolers don't cool any better than a good air cooler and you loose the benefit of having a fan to cool off the vrms.

The Kraken X61 is a great 280mm cooler, if you can only do 240mm the Corsair h100i GTX is supposed to be great. If you can only do a single fan setup the Kraken X31 for a 120mm or the Kraken X41 for a 140mm. Corsairs H80i is a good single fan set up as well but their tubing isn't as flexible as the Kraken and I've found the Krakens to be a much easier setup.

A single fan radiator setup doesn't cool a whole lot better than a good air cooler (Hyper Evo 212 or Cryorig H7) but you will notice much better temps with a dual radiator setup like the X61 or H100i GTX.

This all depends on your case as well, since it will determine which kind of cooler you can use.

good point. Would you have any recommendations on cooling in gereral? (assuming I am going to try to seriously overclock) I am not quite comfortable with full water cooling.

The NH-D15 is a fantastic cooler, however it is huge. So you need to be aware of 3lbs of metal hanging off your motherboard. Be careful when moving your case and you should be ok. I'd look at cooling comparisons between it and a 240 or 280 water cooling for overclocking and see if the temp ranges and performance meet up with what you want. The Cooler Master Nepton 280L is a very highly rated 280mm cooler as well and should be considered as well.

I've checked all that, and it's good. Here's my build so far, in case you want to check to see if there will be any problems with the cooler. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/23VX8d
I'm afraid it might sag down, along with my graphics card...or am I good?

I haven't seen any sagging with my NH-D15, I dont imagine thats even possible. Everything is bolted on very well. Graphics card depending on weight.. eh possible? My 670 is a bit lower than I'd like since my case doesnt have any support for video cards.

As for your parts, a couple things.
Your RAM and the D15. Its 40mm tall, this is going to get in the way of the second fan. However you can raise the fan up the extra 8mm to account for the height of the RAM. You're case has a 193mm clearance for CPU coolers so you're still within spec, its just something to be aware of. Also with the size of the cooler and your motherboard layout you may not have access to the 1x PCIe slot thats on the top.

Just your RAM. Why are you going 4x4GB for 16GB? You can go 2x8GB for less and keep the other two slots open if you decide to bump up to 32GB later.

Fans. You may have gone a bit nuts with them. You're case already has a 200mm front intake and a rear 140mm. If you really want to load up the 3 top fan mounts and the 1 bottom fan mount go for it, it looks like the PWM hub in the case can handle it. But I dont know if you'll really see much in the way of better cooling with that many fans.

Sorry, I think I made some mistakes: it is supposed to be 2x8gb of ram, I need to fix that. As for the fans, I know that is way too many. I only really need about 2 extras at most, sorry for the confusion. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/q87BCJ

Looks much better, tho I'd change out the RAM. In terms of price, the G.Skill Ripjaw V are cheaper and have better timings. In terms of what the different manufactures are claiming, Crucial is saying their Ballistix Elite is optimized for X99 chipsets, G.Skill is saying the Ripjaw 4 is optimized for Z170 chipsets. Now if that has any real effect in real life I dont now, but the price and specs for the Ripjaws are better.

can you provide a link for me? I wanted the gskill ram from the start yet could not find the ddr4 version.
