Okay so I'm building a gaming pc (obviously you know that) and as its the first pc I'm building for myself I would appreciate some help from the more experienced users on what parts are compatible with what I've got and in a price range of $800-1000 AUD

For the processor I currently have an i7 3770 (not k)

I'm looking at getting an r9 380 but am open to suggestions

Don't know what motherboard

Don't know what case

Looking at getting 16gb of ram (not sure what brand)

Don't know what power supply

I would like extra cooling as I live in Australia and it gets really damn hot, but don't know what ones to get

I would like if the motherboard supported sli or crossfire

Keeping it below $1000 AUD would be perfect for the parts I don't already have

Thanks in advance if anyone answers this :)

So all you got is CPU or?
And why do you believe you need 16 GB of ram? 8 GB should suffice for most task and gaming.

Also, take into consideration that SLI/Crossfire creates additional heating, which means you´ll need a pretty powerful cooler

with good airflow in the cabinet, probably supported by at least 1 intake fan, 1 rearfan and 2 side fans. Which again means, you need a big cabinet. 2 graphics card would mean a big PSU around 800-1000 Watt.

So what you´re looking at is:
* a big cabinet (if you want SLI/Crossfire and big cooler + good airflow)
* a strong cpu cooler + additional fans (to cool your already hot environment down, which is only getting hotter with 2 GPUs)
* strong PSU (to power 2 GPUs)

I can´t recommend that on a...

I can´t recommend that on a small budget on 1000 Australian dollars. And SLI and crossfire has its own headaches, with combatibility issues and alot of tripple A games today doesn´t support it well or at all.

I´d advice you to look for a single-card rig, and tell excactly what parts you have/or need. Be specific, about periphirals too if they need to be included in your budget.
