So my computer speed slowed down a lot after i accidentally unplugged the power to my computer. It turns on and everything but everything is choppy and slow. Watching a video is choppy and running a game like LoL gives me 20 FPS. I think my processor may have been damaged (could it be my motherboard)?
I checked the performance in task manager and the pcu runs at 0.28GHZ and in the BIOS, the number fluctuates a lot from 200GHZ to maybe 800GHZ.
I also tried a reset of the computer in case any files were corrupted.
The build is fairly new (about a year old or a year and a half old)
Build:
600 w PSU
i5 processor 4430
8GB Corsair Hyper X RAM
EVGA 670 FTW GPU
not sure exactly what motherboard but it's a gigabyte ultra durable (maybe z97x)?

I just want to know if anything is really damaged. If yes, how do i know which part? Please help!

This could have damaged the PSU
what type of power outage was it if you know? Was it a storm outage or something?
Also make sure your computer is plugged directly into the wall and not into an extension lead, the extension lead could have been damaged from the outtage.

Another thing is your hard drive could have been damaged.
Download a programme like Defraggler and check the HDD for damage,.

If you are using a mechanical drive then sudden power loss can damage the reader head causing it to slow down/lose data.

My computer power cable isn't long enought to reach a wall but i used another extension. Videos seem to be playing normally again but my games still run at lower fps (but not as low as before) spiking from 30-100
Also, i did a clean installation of windows already so there shouldn't be any corrupted files?

EDIT: I ran my games at max settings (how i usually do) and it's actually still the same low fps around 20 spiking to 60

I think this could be a ram issue check your ram usage in task manager on another screen or something if you have one whilst playing games.
