Hello, I have quite a few questions to ask so I would appreciate if you could answer as many as you can!

1. I'm going to upgrade my motherboard from an Asus P8Z77-M Pro to an MSI Z97 Gaming 7. What is the difference between the MSI Z97 Gaming 7 and the gaming 5?

2. My current motherboard is an Asus, my GPU is an MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G, so I thought why not make my motherboard MSI too? So my question is, is MSI a good motherboard brand?

3. Will my current CPU (Intel i7 3770) be compatible with the new motherboard I'm planning to buy?

4. MSI Z97 Gaming 7/5 or Asus Z97-A?

My build is:
CPU - Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.4 GHz
GPU - MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G
SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 120GB
HDD - WD Blue 1TB
PSU - Corsair VS 650
Casing - Aerocool GT-R
Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77-M Pro (To upgrade)
RAM - G. Skill Ripjaws X 8GB
Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212X

Just a question, why are you actually upgrading? Your current motherboard is fine and your CPU isn't a K so you cant overclock so theres no point getting a z97 anyway, as that's one of the good things about z97.

I recently experienced a power outage in my home. After that, my current build won't let me boot to windows, it's stuck in the windows automatic repair loop. I repeat, after ONE power outage, this is the result. My previous build experienced quite a lot of power outages and had no problems. Guess it's time for me to buy a UPS. Anyway, I took it to the mall a while ago and found out that the hard drive is the problem. I think it's time to upgrade my motherboard because it's outdated and aside from that, it's the same motherboard from my previous build. I upgraded everything except for the motherboard and processor.

Im not sure if im wrong but im pretty sure that z97 motherboards don't support LGA 1155 processors, your processor uses the LGA 1155 socket and the z97 platform is 1150. and that certain msi motherboard you linked is 1150 so it wouldn't actually work with your cpu
