Hi guys!

I am looking for a new graphics card, I think the GTX 970 is my best option, but I don't know which model is the best. My options are EVGA, ASUS STRIX (2 coolers) and MSI.

I am a little bit worried about the coil whine, I heard that the EVGA model is the loudest, but I have no idea about the Asus and the MSI.

Solution
I recommend the MSI Gaming model. Runs very cool, OCs great, and very quiet. The Strix is still a solid option, however its not as good in terms of OCing, but it is the quietest.
EVGA slightly dropped the ball on the 970, while I love their service, their card does not OC as well as the MSI, and runs a deal louder.

EDIT: WHY HELLO THERE XD
Hello JustRapture,

Gam3r01 made a very good summary of the different 970's:

"EVGA: Superior service, solid quality, decent clock speeds and cooling.
MSI: Great cooling, great OCing, solid service.
ASUS: Very quiet cards
Gigabyte: Highest clock speeds, best OCer, highest failure rate.

My recommendation: MSI Gaming."

Here is a very good article comparing the STRIX vs MSI Gaming vs Gigabyte G1. Overall the Gigabyte G1 is the best performer, but as Gam3r01 mentioned, it has a higher failure rate as well.

I agree with Gam3r01 and would personally choose the MSI, which is a very good balance of performance and reliability.

I was so impressed with how you answered this question before that I've taken to referencing your previous post. The gold standard of GTX 970 advice as far as I'm concerned, both informative and succinct. I threw in the review just for extra measure. ;)
