Ok, I pretty much only had a little bit of thermal compound left when I was building my pc, so I decided to replace what I had with some new stuff. My pc was working fine until today when I put my new thermal compound on my cpu and installed it. The cpu and the cooling fan went back as theyshould but I recieve no signal? I tested on my old cpu and still recieve no signal, there was a few pins bent but I managed to fix them all on both cpus with a pin.
My guess is that both my cpus are dead? However when I boot both cpus get really hot so I guess they're working? I've double checked every cable in my pc and everything looks good.

Asus Motherboard m5a78l
Old cpu: FX 4100
New cpu: 8350
