s my first time ever building a computer and I want to go pretty big. I've been using a laptop for about 4 years stressing it as much as I can to get decent games to run at 30fps. It's time I stop that. I have put together some parts that might work in a gaming desktop, but like I said I'm new to this so I'd rather have a better opinion on it. The parts are listed below, and yes, I choose to go ebay on some to save as much money as possible. (I'd only like to spend about 500 but I have 650 if needed) I'd also like your help I know next to nothing on about what case to buy. I'm not too experienced in that part. I have a keyboard, monitor and a mouse already so that's not a problem at all. The HDD comes with the CPU bundle, but I'll take the 1TB HDD out of my laptop if that works. Now if there are any issues with this or if I'm missing a part I'd be very grateful if you would tell me. Please just give me as much advice as possible (Mostly on if all of this is compatible or not and what case to buy. Thank you all so much!

GPU: http://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-Nvidia-GeForce-GTX-970-4GB-GDDR5-SC-ACX-2-0-/151882016903?hash=item235cdfa887:g:ddoAAOSwu-BWQ5cl (I'm going to try and win that bid)

CPU, MOTHERBOARD, RAM AND HDD bundle: http://www.newegg.com/Product/BOM.aspx?Item=N82E16819183011 (Id take the third choice for motherboard and ram and first for HDD because for HDD I'd take the 1TB out of my laptop)

Power Supply: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Quiet-900-Watt-900W-for-Intel-AMD-PC-ATX-Power-Supply-SLI-PCI-E-Gaming-Large-Fan-/271191720970?hash=item3f2449440a:g:wAMAAMXQTT9RuR62

Case: I'm not sure. (Can you guy's please help me find a case that might fit theses parts?)

It's a good start. I myself went from decent laptop after 2/3 years to desktop recently.

If you are going from laptop to pc remember a wifi component if you need one (card/dongle, cards are generally more reliable), and also a CD/DVD drive, or even blu-ray if you plan on watching some films etc

Goodluck with the bidding!

Ok, thanks for the info! I'm sorry I left out the GPU, for my GPU I was going with EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Graphics Card. Can you describe to me what might be bad with the CPU and other parts.I have a CD/DVD drive (But it's from an old 2004 desktop which may or may not work i'm not too sure)

You will probably regret your decisions.
Guess you never saw you have no video card!!!!!!!
Your motherboard and power supply both comes with a 1 year warranty both way below the industry standard.

There is a white text but still usable link in the OP you missed to the videocard ;)
True, 1y doesn't sound as reliable for those parts.
I don't recommend using a dvd drive that's 10yo, but if there is no changing your mind, check it works before you go getting an OS on a disk :)
