A little while back, my motherboard (asus m5a99x evo) died for no apparent reason and after bringing it to a local shop, they said I needed a new one. However, they only had the m5a99x evo r2.0 version.
My question is: will the asus m5a99x evo r2.0 version work with the rest of my hardware which is already set up in the rig? It's the only one I can seem to find online. A friend had told me that when mobos die you need to replace everything, but as a uni student I definitely don't have the cash to build a new rig from scratch.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
