Your build will be great for what you want to do. While you don't absolutely need the 6700k, it's nice to have and usually overclocks better than the 6600k. It also has hyper threading which is better for multitasking, video editing, etc. Would also be a benefit for future games multi-threaded games. If you can afford it, I would get it.

One change to avoid ram issues and it's a better cooler.

i thought the evo was the best cooler, i have one. cant i use that?
