so i have this machine that was originally set up with WinXP MCE (Media Center Edition) 2005, and has the key sticker to go with it. an OEM install, though, by HP.
but i don't have a WinXP MCE 2005 installation disk. but i can find a plain WinXP installation disk.
can i use the key to install a lower version of XP instead (meaning, plain XP 32bit Home Premium)? it's the same motherboard, same CPU, but different hard drive as the old one is dead, clickety-click all the time.
