My friend wants to upgrade pc

He has a HP ENVY 700-210 Desktop PC and he wants to make it fast, but doesn't know what to upgrade. I said upgrade the graphics card and keep the processor but im just a beginner in computer hardware, and I don't know if he should change the motherboard to upgrade the graphics card. Any tips?

ya no need for more ram, 8gb is more than enough, even for modern high end games.

If so, a graphics card will be a huge upgrade from integrated graphics. Here is a great thread for choosing a graphics card. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107.html

Also, he will definitely need to upgrade the psu. 300w will not be enough to support much of anything, especially considering it is one from a pre-built machine. I would choose a powersupply with at least 500w from tier 2. Tier 3 would probably be ok, but not ideal. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Yes this is the computer, and his budget would be overall for everything would be 500$, and he wants 100$ in ram.
