Hey, if anyone familiar with the game developing process can answer. When I say main development, I'm not talking about bug patch you know? I'm talking about putting the actual game together, like create models, the world, rooms, voice acting, animation etc...

...lets pick Star Wars Battlefront released yesterday. IF it was released on November 17, 2015...then when did they stop developing it? July of 2015? January 2015?

Depends on the title. Usually, some time following the Beta, but I've seen active main development for some titles even AFTER they go gold (Version 1.0 release). Why else do you think we have Day 1 patches? Some games just aren't finished by their management scheduled release date.

Take Arkham Knight; mainline development basically ended with it's latest patch, several MONTHS after release. And many would argue the game still isn't done on the PC, instead it's just been basically abandoned in it's current state.
