I have been using a Samsung 840 SSD 250GB, before there were evo so its 1.5-2 years old.
It's been working fine.
I just came into an Intel SSD 535 240GB. I initially thought these were on par with the Samsung Pros but I can really seem to find any direct comparisons when searching.
Is the intel superior or are they about equal?
Just wondering if I should switch to the intel and give the samsung to my daughter who's PC I just set up with a regular 7200rpm HDD. Or save headache and put the intel in and reinstall windows?

I'm a bit hesitant with intel as my first SSD was an 80GB and it died on me in a month. That was 6 years ago.

Thanks. I found a site that had some rough rating system and it seems the Intel is slightly higher.
Also it's a bit hard for me to find info on the exact Samsung I have since it was before Evo and everything is just coming up Evo or Pro.
Too much headache to swap everything around as I was intending to get a 512 at some point, so Ill wait for that for my main machine and set this one up for the kid.

I don't think so.
I'm not sure what would stand out to make me think it. All my games are installed on it and seems fine, OS reboots smoothly.
Nothing out of the ordinary I would say.
