Well it looks like I am on a hunt
I am rather new at this,
so that is why i am asking for
advice before pulling the trigger.

Highly mixed bag of reviews on that unit, from being fine to folks saying it blew up or was DOA.
Spend a bit more and get a PSU from a decent manufacturer.

Apevia is very poor quality and a danger to the system. A 550w xfx os only bit more and is a much much better unit.

Would that 550w be good enough for my pc...
I won the pc in a giveaway and this psu is going out like crazy crashing my pc and all...
I want something that will handle me gaming, without really crashing on me.

What was cyberpower thinking? A r9 270 on a 250w psu, no wonder there are issues. Minimum recommended for a 270 is 450w.

And yes, that XFX is a very good unit.

This system will NOT fit a standard atx psu. It needs a sfx power supply. Decent wattage sfx psus are pretty high in price compared to atx models.

How can you tell what PSU can go in there? I keep getting recommendations for an ATX PSU from those testers...

Depends on how far you want to upgrade, 500 watts is well more than enough for your current system.
